Measure the route with the provider’s needs in mind
Describe gates, turns, overhead branches and changes from paving to lawn. A portable toilet’s footprint is not the same as the clearance needed to deliver or service it. Ask the provider what details it needs to assess the actual approach.
Plan for people as well as equipment
Do not choose a hidden corner solely to keep the cabin out of view. Users need a clear walking route, and some may require a suitable accessible approach. Keep handwashing convenient without crowding the door or blocking the route to the gathering.
Agree arrival and collection instructions
Provide a contact who can make a placement decision if the preferred position is unsuitable. If the property will be unattended, agree instructions in advance. Keep cars and temporary furniture out of the access route afterward, and confirm the pickup arrangement rather than assuming it follows immediately after use.
