Check what is included in the selected station
Ask about the water supply, wastewater storage, dispensers and operation of the available model. Do not assume every station includes hot water, the same capacity or the same number of basins. The provider can identify the appropriate equipment for the intended use.
Put the station on the route people already use
Locate handwashing conveniently near restroom exits without blocking the doors or accessible approach. At an event, think about paths between toilets, eating areas and seating. At a jobsite, avoid a position that becomes hidden behind materials or parked vehicles.
Make a supply and refill plan
Water, soap and towels can run out before the rental period ends. Discuss expected attendance, repeated use and the length of the day when agreeing replenishment. Ask who should be contacted if supplies are low and whether extra visits can be arranged.
A handwashing station is not automatically a drinking-water station or a food-preparation sink. If your use has specific requirements, explain them to the provider and the authority responsible for the activity.
Include the station in access planning
The station needs stable placement and access for its own service requirements. Share any limitations on vehicle entry, drainage or positioning. Keep the model instructions with the responsible site contact and do not improvise connections or disposal methods.
